Up

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Harriman training camp with the squadddddd (Jordan, Ethan, George, Mike, and Sam)
Half of the route on the map was blanked out and the other half was micro route training)
▲-1) Portion of the way was white so i stayed right of the control
1-2) Again, the map was blank most of the way, but i was on point so nbd.
2-3) You guessed it! Blanked out again! I aimed to stay right of the control, and was confident with my decision to do so until George and Jordan caught up to me and started looking for the control, at which point I thought that i somehow got on the "pink line". So I searched for the streamer for ~2 minutes with the guys before realizing that I was right all along, and headed left over a knoll and to the control....
Note to self: Don't trust men.
3-4) yeah yeah it was blank. Aimed right of the control and hit it dead on.
My heart started cramping so I skipped 5-7 and continued with the micro route choice portion of the map.
8) Nailed it
9) Nailed it
10) Nailed it
11) No streamer so I hesitated a bit, but essentially Nailed it
12) Nailed it
13) Nailed it
14) Nailleedddddd itttt!

I was able to lay down when I finished and relax my breathing until everyone else showed up.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

Middle course training.

I skipped 1-3 and went from 4- 13.

I feel extremely comfortable with the mapping style of Harriman, (probably because my dad mapped it), so for the most part the training was helping me get some extra map reading in.

Only bobble I had was at #10, at which I ran down the wrong spur, but other than that, everything was slow, but spot on.

Yoga 30:00 [2]
slept:6.5

Was able to do yoga while having my light therapy session.

Since it was such a crummy/rainy day, the bright light really lifted my spirits! =)

10/10 would recommend for any college student to do a session!

*Managed to get my breathing down to 8 breaths per minute, slowly but surely I'm getting back to my normal self!!*

Good vibe playlist while relaxing today.

Note
slept:5.0 (rest day)

Back to the hospital today for oxygen and fluids.
Got a prescription for hydrocodone-acetaminophen... Really not liking how serious this problem is sounding....
For **** sake I'm only 19!! This should not be happening to me!

Anyways, here's wonderwall:

Orienteering race 1:24:07 [3] 5.2 km (16:11 / km)

Race- At the start of the race I felt extremely focused in and ready to go! 1-4 were excellent, 5 I foolishly made a parallel error, 6 was spot on, and then, while heading off towards 7, I began feeling off, (slowing me down quite a bit), but I was pig headed and determined to finish the race, so I ignored my body and pushed to complete the course. Once finishing, the adrenaline wore off and reality caught up to me...

I would like to thank everyone who helped take care of me, (Lex, Ellen, West Point Cadets, EMTs,*Others who popped in and out*, etc). It was a scary experience to go through and without all of the support and compassion, I could have been in a much worse state of mind, and not have recovered nearly as well as I have.

So again, thank you to everyone who helped me get the proper aid that I needed. (As well as allowing me to use your jackets!)

xx
