Brown Y course at Mille Lacs - Kahloe. The terrain was rougher on the second day and the navigation a bit more difficult. I started out well on C1 - 3, navigated to a marsh just N of the one with the control for C4 and probably took the wrong route to C5. Got distracted by a couple of other people coming out of C7 and rushed so lost track of the marshes but got back on track when I saw a control on a boulder E of where I wanted to be. Fell a couple of times rushing to C9 but did a decent job of the last few controls. I am a lot slower in the woods than the top women in my age class (Kris and Mary) although, except when I really mess up, I seem to take similar routes and have faster road foot speed than Kris. I think I just take much longer to figure out routes and aren't as efficient moving in the woods. I don't think I'll ever catch up with them.
Unfortunately my watch didn't capture my run. I estimate this course took about 5 miles.
