Ultimate Orienteer Series - Race #2

Felt better today, no headache and was able to focus much better than yesterday. Physically, nose still clogged, sneezing left and right. But definitely the cold is going away. Should be able to resume training this week.

No big errors

3 - :30 Went left on the big trail as I did not want to run through the muddy trail going into 2 again.
5 - :15 Trail disappeared under me in the yellow slash had two crawl couple times
8 - :05 On the way to it I was looking for the routechoices for 9 and when I got to the fenced transformer buildings got disoriented which way is the thicket with my control
9 - 1:00 Trail in the dark green was full of huge fallen threes, then I miscounted and missed my trail to go up so went through climbing some more fallen trees :)

Ultimate Orienteer Series - Race #1

Orienteering with a cold, and a headache does not yield good results.
About 11 mins of mistakes - on 5 checkpoints. Two big three small. Had to force myself to navigate through the whole course. Through the course felt like keeping up with my professor in a class with differential math in college :( that I didn't like and didn't want to focus on, but if I blink for a second I tumble off the proverbial proof trail that's been going on for the last fifteen minutes .

Physically , meh , didn't run whole week as the AC at work got me Tuesday, so was a bit sluggish, but didn't feel any out of energy or muscle soreness or anything like that because of the cold. We got to stay positive, right.
My pathetic fitness is so baseline low that can't be affected and go lower even by a strong cold or a midnight marathon run. :(

10 PM

Note

1- 0:30 did not follow compass
2- 0:30 left checkpoint in the wrong direction. Wanted to run left on the road :)
9- 4:30 passed twice couple meters from the checkpoint. Used compass, attacked from the corner, Could see the flattish hill, but no checkpoint. Just luck that I saw it the second time I attacked. :(
11- not the fastest route, did not looked and followed the compass, ran to much to the right. Not count as loss probably 15 - 20 secs though.
14- 3:00 Followed compass until I decided I don't care about following compass anymore and just ran forward. :(
18- 0:20 took bearing from the pile next to road but did not follow it and ran to a pile that I liked better to the left.
21- 2:00 did not even realized that I have caught the wrong road. Stuff did not made sense once I crossed the white slash, but then I saw the open area and clear cut corner. Was running up and wandering why did I cross one extra road :(
23- Fricking NAILED IT !

All errors: 10:50

On a high note, from 2 to 8 my speed running through the shit was close to Eric's.
