Run home from Olympic Studios in Barnes (highly recommended!) via Barnes Common, Putney Park Lane, Putney Heath, the cemetery to Robin Hood and then Richmond Park. Really nice route with 95% off road.

Really humid but for once felt pretty great and found the right balance between pushing just enough but not too much. Wheezed rather heavily on the hill back but got through it ok. Result!

Note

Feels like I’m overtaxing my body somewhat lately, as most runs I seem to need a short break in the middle, and some I need to cut short.

I’m convinced it’s because I’m generally a stresspot (and always have been) so I never really get enough proper rest. Plus work is fun but often intense. Hence while the legs are fit enough, the body is exhausted.

Not entirely sure what to do about it, except try and stress/faff around less, but that’s not easy.

Most of a run home from Gt Portland St (where work currently is.)

Generally quite pleasant, with two thirds off road and the on road bits not too bad. Lots of crap in the air (pollen, bugs) making it hard to keep eyes open.

Felt ok for the first 12k or so and then faded pretty badly despite a gel, so decided to walk/jog the last 3k.

Will try again sometime soon.
