Peak Extravaganza, Part 1 Fairholmes to Robin Hood Cave

Was really looking forward to this, even more so as on Tuesday the forecast was for sunshine. In the end the clag was down so we had zero views, but it was lovely nonetheless to do a run in proper countryside and past some very cool rock formations.

Peak Extravaganza Part 2, Robin Hood Cave to Hathersage.

This was actually one continuous run (with some breaks here and there), but my Garmin said it was dying so I thought I’d at least bank the first part. Of course the Garmin was just kidding and held out until the end.

Good fun, good company and very impressed with my body hanging in there for a toughish 3 hour run despite having done no sensible training in the past year.

In Paris for work, so took the opportunity for a sightseeing run past the Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame and Place des Vosges.

Lovely and fewer traffic interruptions than expected. Plus despite not enough sleep I somehow managed to push this theough at a reasonable speed.

Learnt at work that apparently there is a bedbug infestation in Paris, so wondering if my choice of a tiny Airbnb was sensible. Was fun though.
