Afternoon spent at A&E. The boffins at West Cumberland Hospital - in light of a wee X-ray - are claiming that there is no damage to the bone and ligament damage that isn't too extensive. Recovery time is at least 2 weeks. Hopefully some cycling is on the cards before that but obviously a big summer incoming so don't want to risk that.

‘Long’ at Simpson Ground

Having the time of my life in some very scandi-esque skog before destroying my ankle in pursuit of Jamie. Had to sit down for a good 5 mins before managing to hobble back to the WAROC first-aid kit which sadly contained no ice. Pain (in terms of duration and intensity) is levels above any trauma injury I’ve had before so forced myself to call it a day rather than heading back out to walk the rest of what looked a very nice course.

Easy 20 with along the parkrun route whilst mum shopped. Still not feeling good - and so body won’t be great tommorow regardless - but three in some strides as quite enjoying a simulating a little build up to tommorow.
