Surfing at Hells Mouth - pretty big and rough with a massive sideways rip current that I was constantly fighting so as to not get swept along to the opposite end of the beach!

Note
(rest day)

Knee still feeling stiff and sore even at my desk today. Gonna take it easy until local Eryri event on Sunday.

running long (trails) 46:28 [3] 8.1 km (5:44 / km) +50m 5:34 / km
shoes: Nike LunarGlide +5

Run from the dept with Albe in the trails along the straits. Went all the way into the back of the Vaynol Estate which I didn't realise you could do! Path definitely not road trainer terrain - lots of rocks and tree roots and mud! But great fun. 5.45/km through the forest trails dropping to 6.20/km in the more technical, slow going bits. Then after stopping at the Treborth gate on the way back we put in a final effort back to the dept, 1.2k at 4:30/km.

Chest started to feel tight 3-4 minutes in, but slowed pace and it eased after about 10 minutes. Knee sore after 20 mins or so, especially coming back on the road. Should be clearing up from the bump so need to watch this.

running tempo 9:30 [3] 1.6 km (5:56 / km) +30m 5:26 / km
shoes: Nike LunarGlide +5

Run from home - was going to do a quick tempo as I worked late and was starving/losing the light. Chest felt really tight as I reached the top of the hill, carried on for a couple of hundred metres but had to stop. Couldn't be bothered as I knew it would take time to run it off if at all, and stomach was rumbling so jogged home in a sulk. Air felt heavy after the rain showers earlier on, and my breathing wasn't great before I started - something in the atmosphere?

JK Relay Women's Trophy first leg for ERYRI. OMG the tussocks! Not nice on the way to the start kite! Started well but rolled ankle coming out of 4 and was a little cautious after that! Then went waist deep in a marsh (that turned into a pond) on the way into 9 - not impressed. Squelched round the rest of it slightly disgruntled having lost sight of the pack, but still a good run to finish off the weekend.
