Decided on the Melbourne Bush O event to provide a different venue for a run. It was reasonably straight forward, with not a lot of navigational challenge. Lost time on 2 controls. Number 2 got to the right spot, but didn’t see the flag. Did several circuits until I saw it hanging high behind a tree. Dropped a couple of minutes. Then took the wrong route choice to 5, which cost a couple of minutes. Several of the legs were just a slog.
A few of the controls were not well placed at the control sites. 6 was halfway up the earth bank and 8 was half way up the cliff, when they were both indicated as at the base.
