next day of state league. good map, and keen at the start. lost a heap of time at the first one. tried to keep going and did the next few tricky controls fairly well, but the motivation was gone. kept thinking to myself how am i supposed to orienteer in finland if i cant here? cruised for the next two llong legs, had a breather and had a long think about whether it was worth going on. I did, but after making several huge mistakes (5ish minutes eac) in a row i gave it in.
wasted weekend.

short race at 1:15000 in vague-vague spur gully. didn't have the best run, tired, was off on a lot of bearings, while andrew barns was beating me on splits by standing still for his bearings. lots of logs on the ground and jarred my ankle a couple of times.
these inov-8's have worn out quickly. luckily a new pair is on its way thanks to Wildfire Sports!

Canberra is overrun with cockatoos of all kinds at the moment, its practically a mega flock. certainly brightens up the commute on cold days like these.

run on ainslie with 3x8min efforts with 2min rest. some good hills stuck in the efforts too.
