Run hills 1:04:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (34:00 @3) 11.5 km (5:34 / km) +400m 4:44 / km

Hill session - up to the top of the sliding centre from the condo and then a few shorter repeats on the way down. Man that road is steep at times. Tired to start but felt good after warming up. Running downhill felt way more energetic than last time in Revy.

Bike 1:00:00 [1] +225m

Fun ride with Courtney and Sara. Sara was trying out her new bike that she just bought last night- exciting (and about time as she has been on a heavy hardtail for years). Slightly shorter loop than yesterday and in the opposite direction. Really fun trail system with great flow and enough technical challenge to keep you on your toes. Lots of snow melted in the last 24 hours. Had some fun playing on the pump track and skills park as well.

Bike 1:00:00 [2] +270m

Easy pre-conference ride with Courtney on the Lost Lake trails. Did a figure eight loop starting from the lake parking area. Fun fast riding - reminds me of MacPherson at home.

Run 1:15:00 [3] 13.5 km (5:33 / km) +300m 5:00 / km

Great run on the Lost Lake trails in Whistler. All the singletrack was generally dry although the wider trails and roads were quite snow covered. Felt quite good. Need to ride the trails next.

Bike 2:45:00 [2] +575m

Was supposed to be raining all day today but it seemed to be holding off in the morning. Word was that Pemberton was even drier so we drove there to ride with Anthony again. Original plan was only a few hours of riding but conditions were decent so ended up riding for almost three and a half hours. Started from town and crossed at the railway bridge then up Happy Trail, Waco then Nimby. Awesome climb - nice techincal bits with good flow and a nice pitch. Made it halfway up Nimby then turned around. The down was a little more choppy which is understandable given this is supposed to be a climbing trail. Then went over to the Mosquito Lake area and rode a few other trails. Without the benefit of local knowledge we ended upon some good trails and some bad trails but all good fun. Didn't start raining until we finished:)

Hike 1:15:00 [2] 3.5 km (21:26 / km) +475m 12:46 / km
shoes: La Sportiva Raptor

Hike up to the 1st Peak on the Chief. Foggy morning so couldn't see anything unfortunately - thought it might burn off but it didn't until much later in the morning. Felt pretty good though took it easy. Didn't quite make the top as our friend's dog was not interested in the last ladder.

Bike 2:00:00 [2] +625m

Weather in the afternoon was quite nice. Anthony joined us for the ride. We started from Quest this time and repeated the top bit of Half Nelson (which was more fun today for some reason - drier maybe?), the lower bit of AM (not worth it), upper 2/3 of Pseudopsuga (fun again), then Lower Powersmart, Plum Smugglers and part of Word of Mouth. WOM was a nice challenge but tough - a bit wet still and the trail is a little choppy in terms of flow.

Bike 3:30:00 [2] +1075m

A bit of a drizzly morning in Squamish but stayed light so other than some mud didn't get too wet. Rode from our friend's place in Valleycliff to Quest via logging roads then up to the top of Half Nelson. After riding Half Nelson we climbed back up and did PseudoTsuga. Headed home via Another Man's Gold, a moto trail, the lower section of the Plunge and Fartherside. Good long ride. Trails were fun but a bit wet in spots.

Run 1:19:00 [3] 16.5 km (4:47 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2130

Great run along English Bay and then the Stanley Park seawall. A few slower km with C but mainly about 4:40 and felt quite comfortable.
