Quiet night on call last night so managed to fit in a ski today. Only Stuart and I - no one else seemed available although did not give much advance notice. Took the sled up Mt English. Good quick climb to the powerline and a less travelled side road for a bit. Could have gotten the sleds further but we didn't want to get stuck. 10km to get to 1500m. Climb up worked out pretty well despite a few cliff bands. Thought we might be skiing an Eagle Pass run and we found the landing/pick up flags that confirmed that. Conditions were surprisingly good - 15cm of light snow over the wet and well consolidated snow from the Pineapple Express Thursday. Nice trees - moderate pitch and open old growth. No views unfortunately as was snowing light all day. Lots of little cliff bands - took a few 3-4 airs by surprise in the flat light and almost went over a couple bigger cliffs. Worth a trip back overall.

Still warm and today felt like I could start poling through the packed snow more. Have been playing with my Finite structure tool the last couple days - seems to help. Today Logan took a stand after a few hundred metres and didn't want to go further. I think his paw hurts from a fungal infection. Did a couple 15min (approx) tempo sections.

Another day for the zero skis. Tracks were nice again although kind of unpleasant weather with moderate rain to start. Good thing it let up as my tights were definitely not designed for rain.

Quite nice conditions on fresh grooming despite the warm weather. The zero skis worked great today. Logan seemed more energetic too although skied no poles with him to keep things a bit slower.

4 hours at the hill with my dad. Pulled out the tele gear for a token appearance. Was lots of fun - still seem to remember how to do it;) Knee didn't seem to mind it and although got lots of leg burn not as bad as I expected.
