Skate ski 1:50:00 [3] 24.0 km (4:35 / km) +585m 4:05 / km

No more new snow but above zero so had fairly slow conditions. We did a few laps with Atsuko then I skied on my own for a bit (including climbing from the bottom of the system to the top). Ran into Travis and skied with him for a bit as well.

Strength 45:00 [3]

More snow shovelling. I though we were supposed to get mostly rain today but it stayed cool and we got a lot of wet snow.

Classic ski 1:45:00 [3] 16.75 km (6:16 / km) +375m 5:38 / km

Slow and sticky conditions mid storm. I tried to go early in the morning to time the grooming but the dog loop was likely done first and already had 5 cm of snow on it. Mickey's was a little better so skied longer than I thought I might after dropping the dog back at the truck. Ran into Atsuko and the dogs got to play for one loop.

XC touring 45:00 [3] 4.0 km (11:15 / km) +200m 9:00 / km

I haven't used this category in a while... I took Milo for walk on Tantrum with the skinny Waybacks and then skied around a portion of the dog loop cutting branches.

Strength 45:00 [3]

Snow shoveling and tree cutting. I got ridiculously sweaty doing the latter...

Backcountry skiing (Rustler ) 3:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (18:00 / km) +1100m 11:37 / km

Gorge with Courtney. Parked at 17 and headed towards the 18 k high point as had never climbed this way. We dropped towards 18 but that zone could use a bit more snow to flatten the uneven terrain. Had to deal with some old tracks too - surprised by the amount of tracks on what I'd consder less travelled zones while no tracks in more popular spots. Perhaps people are trying to keep to tighter trees (which is fair given the current snowpack). The up track I set traverses some fairly steep slopes (for future reference). The second run had some nice pitches though the upper section is mellow. For the last run we climbed almost to the 17 k summit and connected a few very nice pitches. Cutting to the skier's left of the second gully is a nice option.

Downhill Skiing 45:00 [1]

Morning at the hill with my dad (8 runs). Coverage seems low for the time of year...

Run 45:00 [2] 7.0 km (6:26 / km) +20m 6:20 / km
shoes: Icebug Green

Greenbelt with Milo. Warmer air temperatures meant a few post holing moments.

Backcountry skiing (100eight/Wayback) 2:30:00 [1] 8.0 km (18:45 / km) +725m 12:54 / km

Gorge with my dad. It has been a few years since he toured so he was a little nervous. I took him on a shorter run near the truck which I've never lapped. It was a very nice pitch though only 200 m. His climbing has definitely slowed down (300 m per hour) so the pace was pretty casual. Good skiing though fast conditions.
