nice long run in redwood forest, great to be back here at home. ran nursery, to sawmill, along stream then reservior loop. back to water tank, tarawera rd. realised how much I appreciate the work of the mtb'ers who build these cool twisty muddy, trails. wouldn't be the same if it was just forest rds. lots forest and mud. strange 2 sets of people videoing mtb'ers. one with camera up 6m long pole?
really enjoyed this from 2 weeks mostly in hamilton streets (-:

Note

noticed that 2nd toe on right foot sore after wearing these toe shoes. do actually get this often when wearing them. asked podiatrist on 17th and he thought it was just the way my feet are. not to be worried about?

bored so called Camille to go for a run, she could only go for 30min so did 1 loop of gardens from uni with her. then 1 more loop my self (36min). feeling better today but still bit lazy

technique training drills on field behind uni. lots crazy blackbirds to chase for my speed intervals after too. 8 x approx 200m reps at max pace.
good to do drills again.

short garden loop but felt really bad. stomach and must be overtired from study assignments earlier in week. embarrasing but i just didnt feel like running. actually walked parts, had planned to go for steady hr but lazy shame )-:

weights in the gym, sore hamstrings from straight leg deadlift, still not sure if this is a good one to do. at home so no gym here

4x 10min loop in gardens at hard pace. Lots of runners out tonight which was nice. felt good most of the time and 4 was acheivable

supposed to go to orienteering but misread the instructions and ran to the venue for next week!! whoops too far to get to the actual venue so did my own run from uni to Insoll Ave then down Clarkin Rd to the river, over fairfield bridge and along the river to gardens and home. Feeling a bit sick had to stop for toilet couple of times. I hear myself complaining a lot lately maybe I should stop. but stupid Hamilton rds making my shins ache ):
