Fin and I had a great adventure at the Pinery consisting of three bikes and three hikes! It was not the nicest day weather-wise, but keeping moving made it more tolerable. There was a short bit on our last bike section where it started snowing on us! Once again, Earl was a godsend for keeping comfy and dry all weekend.
For a kid that doesn't ride that often, I was impressed with Fin's biking. His bike is much too small for him, and he was crushing it up the hills.

The hiking parts of our adventure. The Pinery has a lot of very short trails, so we biked around exploring different ones.
Lovely lunchtime hill training on the highway side of Breithaupt. I played a fun game where I had to go up the first hill I came across, down the next one, up the next one, etc. I have not lost the feeling of gratitude for being able to do things like this again, and hope that it will not fade with time!
A lovely first morning in Earl...the first cup of coffee that I make in him each year is especially special!
It rained for a good part of the night and early morning, but I got out for a hike while it was just raining lightly. Hiking in the rain is good training for Scotland!
