with Tullio from Fra's house on the trails at the Pratt Preserve. So steep! Tullio was not inclined to stop for horseshoes this time, which was fine with me. Hot and humid. Chopped off the driving section where I left Fra's in the car before I turned off the watch.

Corn maze 2Rs race. Excellent idea, a little glitch in execution. I had a glitch, too. Lost count of the Es and went to #6, thinking it was #5. Figured it out before long, bu I was certainly in the wrong place.

Note
Trip to Wethersfield to get my recalcitrant CPAP machine checked out. It had slowly been delivering less air, and finally got to the point where I could t use it. Turned into a long and tiring outing. An hour in the car each way, 40 min wait for the prior appt to finish up, then 40 min for my own appointment. Upshot was I got a new machine under warranty.

I've lost a lot of zip at this activity with the long layoff. Same weakness in left forearm that has bugged me the last quite a few years.

This was entertaining. I've had it in my mind to do this run at McLean for quite a while, and today was the day. Relative absence of humidity and total absence of FDFs were compelling factors. Thought I might go do it at 8, after my primary duties were taken care of here, but then I had a problem with reservations for our trip to Patagonia and had to fix that, and then several things to do for my RI client, so pretty soon it was late enough that going after lunch seemed right.
Seems I haven't been out here in almost two years, and the last few times out I was walking it with Rhonda. Last running was in 2021, and last time in under an hour was in November 2020.
While I was out there I was thinking about 2010 when this was a fairly normal thing for me and Zack to do. Me doing the 5 miles, and Zack tacking on another 3+ loop. The objective was to try to beat Zack, but generally, as I recall, he caught me in the last 1/4 mile.
Flow 1.5 w/ Leah. I garnered a compliment today, when we did this thing where we started in a plank with our feet on the shoulder blocks and pushed out as far as we could. I seem to have pushed the farthest. Not really so hard for someone who does a lot of planks, but hard to imagine I could do anything else worth complimenting at this stage.

With Tullio, heading the other way as far as the small island. Kayaking is not working out all that well for my R shoulder. I was pretty gingerly coming back. Maybe 30 minutes is a reasonable upper bound if I am going to go again.
