Windtrainer 50:50 [3]
ahr:135 max:160 shoes: Giant OCR3

Trying to improve pedaling technique and efficiency.
Mostly keeping cadence up around 100 rpm with a few single leg drills.
If the single leg drills are anything to go by, I have a lot of room for improvement in my technique. Not very smooth at all.

cross trainer 37:00 [3]

Cross trainer to replace running until calf better.
Still some sore spots but better than yesterday.

Swim 26:23 [3] 1.0 km (26:23 / km)

After only one swim in the last 2 months no surprises how todays effort felt.
Seemed to be all over the lane today. Started off with each 100 leaving on 2:30. Nice and easy to start with but started to struggle a bit and fall behind for the last few.
Hopefully will feel better next time.

Run 26:18 [3] 5.03 km (5:14 / km)
ahr:155 max:172 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS

As per instructions from the Physioterrorist I warmed up and stretched well.
Calves felt good at the start, a little bit tight after yesterdays torture session but I was assured that it would be fine to run.
After about 10 mins I put in a few faster efforts for 50m or so (again following instructions), all felt good.
Then I settled into a nice easy pace home and the tightness started to get worse. Slowed down then stopped to walk a few hundred meters from home.
Will continue with the stretch/strengthening regime and cut to maybe 2 short runs a week and go back for more torture. I don't think today was really a setback, just not quite there yet.
