Note

I was a bit tired after yesterdays effort but I would have gladly done it over again (twice) today and not feel as drained as I do now after a day at the show.
At least now I have my Bertie Beetle show bag to help refuel.

Run 27:23 [3] 4.5 km (6:05 / km) +57m 5:43 / km
shoes: Teva evolution

Headed up to Guilderton for a mornings training. I arrived at an empty carpark around 7:15 but waited until 7:30 to get going as Tooms said he may call if he wanted to fit in a bit extra on top of his informal adventure race... no call so off I went.
Ran up to the lookout then across to some tracks on the other side of the river, a lot of up and down on soft sand and my achilles were complaining so I cut the run short and headed back.
I think I may get to the physio next week.

Swim 20:00 [3] 0.85 km (23:32 / km)

Time and distance approx.
I bought some wetsuit lube and it made a big difference getting it on, had a little trouble pulling up the zip thinking I was going to break the strap but it'll get easier the more I use it.
I swam out to the middle of the river and did a few laps around a couple of yellow buoys that were about 120m apart. Visibility in the river was very poor and I'll have to practice swimming in a straight line as I kept veering to my left and was well of line a couple of times.
Not sure if it's due to the compression of the wetsuit or the feeling of weightlessness but both times Iv'e worn the suit I have had trouble when first standing, feeling a bit shaky in the legs for the first few steps.

Paddle 53:18 [3] 8.9 km (5:59 / km)
ahr:152 max:162 shoes: PRS

I wanted to put in a better effort for the paddle after last weeks fail.
I paddled up river for about 4.5km keeping a good steady effort, turning where a few boats were anchored across the river.
I kept the same pace on the return with a couple of close calls with boats travelling much faster than the 5kn limit.
Happy with this effort, not a long paddle but solid and consistent.

MTB 42:06 [3] 15.5 km (2:43 / km) +147m 2:36 / km
ahr:123 max:161 shoes: Giant Anthem X3

Not the best place for mountain biking, I tried to find some tracks but everything was too sandy other than a loop I did a few times on a limestone rd. I ended up just riding around Guilderton putting in a bit of an effort on the numerous small hills.

Stretching 20:00 [0]

Finished of the morning with a stretch on the grass by the river.
Enjoying my wagon wheel, coffee chill and the view. :-)
Good times.

Paddle 25:29 [3] 4.08 km (6:15 / km)
ahr:151 max:166 shoes: PRS

I got home earlier than usual today and had a little extra time so decided to squeeze in a short paddle.
Headed down to Mindarie and decided to just do a steady but solid paddle around the Marina. A couple of slow points where I went under the walkways that lead to the boat pens and I had to quicky get off to remove some seaweed from the rudder but managed to keep a good pace most of the time.
A short but good session.
