Run (Trail) 1:02:03 [3] 11.23 km (5:32 / km) +103m 5:17 / km
ahr:146 max:160 shoes: Hoka One One Evos (2nd)

Originally I had an early morning run planned but after a family get together was postponed last night I decided to have a sleep in instead.
We took the girls down to the 10th Light Horse trail off Waneroo Rd for a wander and I ran home from there along the Yabaroo trail.
I took things very easy for the first half then picked up the effort a bit for the remainder. Some soft sections on the Northern part of the trail but not too bad compared to a couple of months ago.

Run 1:12:06 [3] 11.54 km (6:15 / km) +140m 5:53 / km
ahr:140 max:160 shoes: Hoka One One Evos (2nd)

Evening run with Jacko on the trail south of Hester ave.
First run since the Kep and as expected the legs felt a bit heavy.
I had a few tight & slightly sore spots pop up during the run & the quads really felt the steep downhill section but they all went away & only the feeling of heavy legs stayed throughout the run.
A couple of weeks of runs no longer or more intense than this and the legs should be back to normal.
Good times.

Note

I have been going crazy(er) not doing anything for the last week & still not quite ready for a run so after getting home I took Deb & the girls out to the trail North of Hester ave for a walk. Luckily we saw heaps of kangaroos which makes it easier to get the girls out again next time.
My achilles/ankle has been improving daily & it was too tempting not to give it a short test while out there. I jogged a short downhill section very slowly & felt fine but resisted going further or faster.
Hopefully later in the week it'll be good for a proper run.
