Running long 1:00:00 [3] 9.4 km (6:23 / km) +50m 6:13 / km
(injured) shoes: New Balance RX terrain

ran along stanage edge with sophie and alice. Wasreally cold and very windy, amazingly for me wasn't even too hot with thermal, running top, windtop and gloves on (just to show how cold it was). Hailed at us a bit as well. Was good running along steadily, but hurt my foot quite alot jumping off rocks and stuff along the path. out and back route, no others really avaliable.

Running warm up/down (Drills) 20:00 [1]
shoes: Saucony training shoes

steve vernon came to nwjs when we were at the place in haversage we were staying at. Showed us quite a few warm up drills, stretches and talked about the running stuff and training

Note
(injured)

Foot is still pretty sore, but able to run on it. will rest it still next week, but if its still bad at the weekend i'm just going to go for it anyway. The run this morning probably didn't help, but was very good to get my legs moving as haven't done much in the last week.

NWJS training at hope woods

Orienteering (NWJS) 2:00:00 [3] *** 8.0 km (15:00 / km) +200m 13:20 / km
spiked:13/17c (injured) shoes: New Balance RX terrain

NWJS at hope woods.
Compass- really horrible area, brambles everywhere. compass bearings of 200-300m. pretty acurate. (4/4)
Attack points- Longish course, again too bramlbley but did most controls spot on. (4/5)
Pacing- Good exercise, lots of different terrain/path speeds so had to think about how to adapt paces. (5/6)

Orienteering race (Sprint) 8:15 [4] *** 1.0 km (8:15 / km)
spiked:6/7c (injured) shoes: New Balance RX terrain

short sprint. Was good, but brambley. i went off first so actually did it all myself, where as most people just bunched up and chased the person ahead of them. First time i'd realy streatched my legs at all.

Note
(injured)

Had twinges in my left foot since last night, think i must have bruised it on a rock or something yesterday. Set out to do intervals, but by the time i got to the bottom of the drive (1/4 of a mile so more than a few steps) i realised that i couldnt run properly and hobbling intervals sounds like a bad idea. Hopefully by resting up it should be completely better in a couple of days.
