Event: Sebago Lake
 

Orienteering hills 2:01:47 [3] *** 6.06 km (20:06 / km) +270m 16:26 / km
shoes: Jala Jukola Spider 6 #2

Green course at Sebago-South (HVO meet). Long, lots of hills, and LOTS of rock underfoot (if it wasn't hilly, it was rocky). I rarely had a chance to even jog on trails. One semi-misplaced control, and one with important detail hidden by the (too-small) control circle that I went about 200 m past. No, I wasn't wearing my glasses either, so that might have been a factor on the missed control.

Distance/climb later*, once I figure them out (this info wasn't advertised). I was perhaps the only woman on Green (I didn't see anyone else in the results before we left...).

*Updated distance and climb once Glen figured it out for me. :-)

(Forgot to post this earlier). As I was finishing the walk, I was figuring my time (based on my pace) was between 41 and 42 minutes. :-)

Probably about 4 miles. At Powell Bird Sanctuary. I only bushwhacked a little bit, cutting the corner off one trail. :-) Noted new posted signs on one area I thought used to be part of the Sanctuary. I do remember reading about a trade of some land near the Sanctuary...

Warm day; we opened the windows and doors, so the ventilation was better than Monday. :-) Still had a coughing fit upon entering... (stale smoke).
