HVO Winter Series Blue Mountain Green 1 course (because that's the one that others had done and put times on AP for). Mid to upper 40s and some clouds but no breeze. 4.9 km, no climb stated. I love this map! Woods were open and only saw a bit of greenbriar, no blueberry.

I actually saw Bob Bullions (rjb3) on my way out of #2 (#128); he had already done this course on a previous visit. He was coming the opposite direction so presumably on a different course; maybe the All Controls one. He said he saw other orienteers out there; we saw one who we didn't know in the parking lot after I finished.

I did a bit of extra distance using around routes on some trails. Printed the map at about 1:8000 so I could see the mtb trails among all the rock. :-) Lots of features to navigate off so I didn't need to pace count even once. I even had a preview of #9 by taking the southern route around the marsh from 5-6.

Streets/nodes in northeastern-most UST, from the church in Friedensville. Low to mid 40s, breezy, and mostly overcast, with sun coming out near the end. Saw several vultures, crows, a mockingbird, and a heron looking for food at a culvert near a busy highway.

8 more streets completed in UST. Glen and I walked on streets off the I-78 Summit Lawn exit, after parking at a church parking lot (where there was one other car, so we didn't feel too weird). Since this is adjacent to the "gap" through which the interstate crosses from Allentown to the Center Valley area, it was a high point, and roads to either side were hilly. And there was a bit more breeze from the west than I had anticipated; about 37F.

Ten more UST streets on CityStrides (one is completed in the third outing today), plus the Snowman Run badge for the CMTR scavenger hunt (thus the snowman in the parking lot).

36 and sunny, less breezy than yesterday, so nice! No snow here so I couldn't make one any other way.

Parking lot snowman. The parking lot is as bare as shown in satellite view. ;-)

To get the northern node (of two, one on either side of Rt 309) to complete "Bethlehem Pike" on CityStrides.

A few more UST streets. Mid-30s with a NW breeze but I was prepared for it. I didn't get frozen so I'm saving that scavenger hunt badge for some other day when it will likely be below 32F.

Web of Life/spirals with Deanna. I'm counting this as my (cross) Trained badge for CMTR, as I don't know if we'll get enough snow for snowshoeing, or a warm enough day (for me) for biking before the end of January. Done.
