Running long 1:20:00 [1]

A long run with my puppy Mindo on the trails behind my house. It felt pretty good and I stayed in zone 1 the entire time.

Mountain Biking 2:00:00 [2]

First ride of the year I went with Brett, Scott, Michael and Colin and we went on a big ride starting from miles canyon. We went along the Yukon river trail and then up Juicy and back on Girlfriend. We headed back to the parking lot on the Chadburn ski trails. It was really good to get out on my bike again.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

We did a dice-O today which involves rolling two die to see which control you go to. The goal is to get the all controls the fastest and if you roll the same number a second time you have to go back to that control. It took a little while to get into the swing of running in the forest as we have done so much sprint map training but it went well.

Running warm up/down 1:00:00 [2]
(sick)

45 minute warmup before strength and slow 15 minute cooldown afterwards. I still have a bit of a sore throat and congestion but its not affecting my training at all and it doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Strength/Stretching 45:00 [3]

3 sets of circuit training in the race office. I felt pretty weak as I have done hardly any upper body work recently. We did 30 seconds on then 30 seconds rest.

Running 40:00 [3]
(sick)

F.H. 500 was today and I ran quite a ways. I think I went about 20 laps or so.

Orienteering (Race) 30:00 [5] 4.8 km (6:15 / km)

First B-meet of the season on the riverdale map. We started from Robert Service and ran all over Riverdale. I had a fairly good race and only made one or two 15 second mistakes. I was pretty tired though from the FH 500 so I was a little slow.

Orienteering warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Slow run to warm up and some stretching afterwards.

Long run with blue squad around the Porter Creek Area. I thought I was getting a little better but I still feel a bit sick still.
