I decided to take the ran easier than normal as my shin is still tender, and I have developed a swollen and bruised ankle as well just below where my shin got injured.
Had a good run with Salome, we had a good pace to start off with, and picked up on the long downhill section. My legs felt good and I was able to pull away slightly from Salome on the last uphill with about 500m to go.

Shin still very tender, uneven ground and hurt a bit more than uphills, more comfortable to run only on toes. Right Adductor Magnus feels slightly pulled but eased up a bit during the run

Was sceptical to do step class as I worried the pressure on my shin would be too much (slightly injured Soleus Muscle in an accident on Monday morning, leaving the right side of my shin on my left leg with a bit of bruising and swelling)
Step class helped stretch out the muscle a bit, but I was cautious so I kept on my toes only on my left so that it didn't hurt
