Severn Saturday run. best day of the year and only 4 out!!! Roger MarkP and Guy. Nice and steady up to Slimbridge, we even resisted chacing Matt VBurbridge when he went past us by himself. Coffee and cake in the Cafe then on through the lanes to Forschester hill where I helld back with my coad symptoms. Then Guy headed for home while Roger took us down to Nailsworth and then back up a new hill for me past a wind turbine. Then back to the top of Forschester and down to Uley then up the road to the east and another new hill for me. Back home though Wooton all into a bit of a headwind. Was glad Mark was going strong as I was not up to doing my real shhare on the front.

Computer hung up going down to Uley so a bit of a guess on exact stats.

Orienteering race (Night Score) 51:05 [5] 7.0 km (7:18 / km) +100m 6:49 / km

Sarum Night score new area for me Vernditch. Fairly small and knew I should clear the course as soon as I picked up the map. Not so sure when it took over 5 minutes to get to the first controll I headed for 150m from the start. Was a depression in white with undergroth screen. The undergroth was 10 foot high beach sapplings... Found it on the second try comming in from what was meant to be my second controll. Not so bad after that but the took some time getting used to the map. Most of the green was far better running than the white. Feeling fairly knackerd from the ride this morning strugled up the hill to 17 then missed it when it was far closer to the ride than indicated and I ran paralell to the ride 20m in looking away from it and it was only 5m off the ride....

I made Gavin Cleg very happy as he was 5 minutes quicker than me.

Working out an extended route home from work with as little traffic as possible. Route 41 along towpath over Avon mouth bridge into industrial estate in Avonmouth where I lost the signs for a bit. Then some route 10 to come outt by the king william then the lanes route back I am familiar with. Came back through three brooks having done a good bit of cycle path and gravel tracks it seemed like the right way to finish. This was very good apart from the one bit of getting lost. Will make a good alternative when I want to get an extra hour on the bike in. Will use it sometime soon when my new bar light needs testing propery, a good bit off road so will be able to turn it up to full power.

Bok training. Inn on the green Filton GC route. Was not sure about doing this but decided too and just ran very steady at the back pointing out the way to the others. We missed out one bit of looping as I was going slow.

Windy. Decided to try the straight line sort of route. A bit too much traffic both bike and foot past the collage. Shorter though by a good 1.2km but will probobly stick to the standard route normaly.

Note
(rest day)

Took a day off as no proper food last night and late back made the thought of going to do the club run from LongAshton at 9AM a bit daunting. Will have to extend some of the rides home from work to try and make up a bit if it's dry during the week.
