Spin out while the roads were dry. Checking my knee and checking the App after a weeks worth of tinckering. Both OK but the bike mount proved not to be up to the job. Hit a big bump going down to Tytherington ans without the rain cover on the phone managed to bounce out and down the road. Back cover and battery off but it all went back together and worked OK for the second half of the ride I lost the first halfs data though. I will add some intermitent flushing of the data so I want loose all of a ride so easaly going forward.

Open 5 Long Mynd. Bike first and cleared the course times are bike active about 10 more mins out there some marking the map at the start and most of the rest probobly punching and gates etc. Slowly being caught by a guy with a Keswick cycles top he eventuialy got me at the last contol where he cut though nthe wood which was alowed but I had not spoted the mit saying it was.... Great cyceling on a realy nice day. lost a goopd bit of time at the wood to the south. There has been serious felling and I was off by half a mile as to where I thought I was going into the wood using the end as my reference point, did a good bit of carrying though the heather. Then overshot the controll and lost 2 or 3 mins ontop of the other stuff.

Graph not from IpBike direct. I need to work on 2 Axis support as the altitude squashes everything else up.

Gpx includes run bit.

Running race (fell) 1:50:00 intensity: (50:00 @4) + (1:00:00 @5) 12.0 km (9:10 / km) +500m 7:35 / km

Run bit. Good job it's hilly and I was not loosing too much walking up hill and had the hill to help down. If flat the time on my feet would of been way too much. Could not hang with the Keswick guy up the hill at the start was getting further than the nice small loop I had planed so had to add on some contols but then stupidly missed a 25 pointer at the end thinking it was a 5... 4 mins early but I would not of been too late getting the 25... would not of got me to 3rs though but close. Stuart cleared the course which was impresive. Cramping up at timer and threw up the painkiller I tried to take at the start of the run, fell over and bashed my knee coming out of the last control I did. Also got blicters on my heals, it's probobly 6 months since I wore my inov8's and not for that long... A nice nit of scree running into Cardingmill valley which was very good as the alternative from where I was was gorse.
