At NWO event, but they only have an hour's start window and it was 20 mins or something uphill to the start, so not so great for split starts! So I just went out for a run on the down once Ant was back (and after a lovely walk up the hill with the boys to a white horse) before heading off to teashop with Ali and Gary and Heather. Slopes v steep, lovely on top!

Fuelled by post-publishing-meeting rage, I had a whim to do some intervals. Just went for 4 x 2 mins (1 min walking). Actually quite fun. Not sure if Garmin is quite right on first one, looks a bit weird. But anything is possible. Felt much better for the run!

Cambridge city race. Beautiful day, lovely course, really enjoyed it. Delighted to see afterwards that by mustering a sprint finish I finished one second ahead of, rather than one second behind, Liz Phillips.

Down the river to the low bridge and back up the canal. Rather taken aback coming off the canal by the Plough to see Eddie halfway up the tall tree there and Tom right at the top!! Presumably Mel&Zeb and Maria&Mark were sitting outside the pub but certainly no signs of alarm - I was terrified!!

Jogged down the meadow to the bridge, then ran up the river to Godstow Road. Jogged back. Garmin all over the place to start with, very strange tracks - I started running from the house not randomly over on the meadow towards airman's bridge!! Nice to feel like I was running properly for a while! Working pretty hard by the end of that section (though didn't feel as hard as heart rate would imply!)

Note

Have been utterly consumed by snot for ovet a week now. Abating a bit but am still extremely fuzzy headed. Going to try SW sprints at Poundbury tomorrow but no idea how it will go.
