Salesian College - Course 6 (M60)
What would have been a winning run was scuppered by me punching the wrong 12 (I even ran past the right 12). Seemed to be playing cat and mouse with Tony W having passed him at 1 as he seemed to be making lots of mistakes, at least he didn’t mis-punch.

Wattle Gully Gold Mine - MB
A very scrappy run in places (3, 4 and 13 specifically) where I didn't pay close enough attention to the detail. Some steep climbs which had the legs burning and some horrible, but pretty, gorse towards the end. A good varied course.

Kyneton - MB
A cold, damp day. Course started off in the botanic gardens before a few long, running legs to the school with lots of controls in a very small area. Missed 20 and it wasn't until 24 that I realised so punched 20 (control description wrong) and did 21 to 24 again, thankfully they were all very close so didn't lose too much time (but enough for Undy to pip me by 29 secs)!

Blackwood - Hard 7B (M60A)
Strange picking up a bush 1:5000 map will control circles and numbers enlarged accordingly. It certainly made reading the map a lot easier although I was then trying to pick off evry feature rather than just generalising. Very rocky underfoot limiting how much you could run. Reasonably steady through all the tricky stuff, only time loss was at 12, the penultimate control which I ran past nearly as far as the river crossing before realising, disappointingly I dropped 2 place to 5 on what should have been an easy control (surprising how many people lost time here so something may not have been 100% right). A great technical area.
