Parking was problem. With everyone out at the park in addition to the orienteers I ended up parking very far away (almost a mile) This through off my schedule. Since I was doing control Pickup, I had planned to arrive late when the early people would be leaving. Because of the remote start/finish, the early started hadn't started leaving yet so the all the lots were full.
In order to have time to do the course and get back before control pickup I had to hurry more than I like. Walked/jogged from parking lot to the registration.
Then had to walk tot he start (not included). Walked part of the way with Dave which was nice since hadn't seen him in awhile. Because of time I didn't stretch as much as I would have like. My left calf was feeling sore, I am not sure why.

Rushed Start so didn't properly stretch.
Felt ok initially.
#1: Down trail then cut into woods. No problem
#2: straight'ish, No problem.
#3: Could have taken the main trail but instead I decided to take the longer field trail. I cut down to a lower dot knoll then had to cut back up the hill.
#4: I decided to take a left/high route. The problem is that I got distracted and never cut back down. I just went straight right to the edge of the map. There edge didn't have enough of the out of bounds area so I was really unsure where I was. I spent a long time trying to match things up but didn't succeed. Eventually figured out I was way off and started going back until I got to the control. Lost a lot of time and lot of will to run hard. At this point I stopped pushing it on the course.
#5.Ran by the ruin, been here a lot over the years, and to the control. Saw Jens coming from the wrong direction.
#6: Started off going up the spur instead of the reentrant so lost time. Also pulled up a little short.
#7: Leaving 6, I saw Jens again coming from the lower route. After crossing the road I was feeling good so just started running down the main reentrant not realize the control wasn't in that reentrant. I had to stop and go back over the reentrant with the control.
#8: Straitish. Right to the control, used the hilltop southwest of the control as the attack point. Ran by this a few more times.
#9: Straight. Ran a ride above the cliff and contoured around.
#10: Went Straight. I drifted left. I knew this was the bamboo grove. As I got close, I had the option to run around but decided to go through it just for fun. it didn't look too bad to go through but I lot time because there was a bunch of broken/fallen stalks which made it much slower.

#11: straight. no issues.
#12: Greener unmapped areas pushed me left some but no problems.
#13: Didn't want to take the trail so I didn't.
#14: Didn't take trail but kept hitting it as it curved.. Along stream area by where #9 was and used the same hill as #5 as my attackpoint.
#15: Right back by my favorite hill. No problem.
#16: Went Straight. No problem. just not fast.
#17: no issues
#18: no issues
#19: drifted way right. Realized this when I started seeing the houses.

I didn't want to run because my knee is still sore but it was too nice out not to so I did. Ran down 175 and back. My pace was very inconsistent. Once I got going knee was fine but as usual hurt after the run.

Walk with Darcy up around the school. They were working on the fields which is more than we have seen long ago.

Raking sweetgum balls. They just keep falling. It was very nice out 60 degrees and sunny. Raked the same area I just keep raking, along the driveway and the side of the house. Those are the areas I walk the most.
