Continue to run with a running show on my right foot since it was more padded.
Overall, not as fast as I wanted to be. Lack of training made me slow and tired at the end. Made some mistakes, couldn't see trails on the map in the green while in the darker woods, ran to the wrong controls, and lost my dibber. Not a good day.
Started down the trail but went to far and had to come back. Ended up crossing the stream more times than necessary. Went right to it but was slow.
Straight, hit the trail west of control and ran down it. There were other rootstocks and I left the trail too soon. Could see the control from the trail.
Straight. Slow as there were lots of rootstocks. Finally realized I should just go to the reentrant.
 Straight
NE to the stream, Crossed stream then along stream.
Trail, cut across the field. Looked for "cone" signifying the road crossing (I had seen them on the way in). There was no water stop across the road. Cut into trails and got on spur. Control was further down the spur than I expected.
didn't see any nice way through the green so decided to just wing it and go straight'ish. Made my way through the green ok until the stream by the field corner. I could see a passable way though the green but had to get across the stream. The problem was the "stream" was gully with 6-7' straight sides. There was a root stock at the bottom that I figured I could climb on to get out. I carefully climbed down but when I climbed the root stock it was rotten and kept breaking off as I tried to get out. I finally had to scramble pas the root stock and get out a the end. Followed my lesser green path out to the field. Ran across the field. Some hesitation just short of the control as I didn't see the reentrant. Got to the control only to realize I didn't have a dibber on my finger. I figured it was either at the root stock, or totally lost. Jogged back across the field looking as I went. Back into the green. Got back to the gully rootstock and saw it lying there. I took a split at the control. Lost 5 1/2 minutes. At least I found the dibber.
As I was heading back to 7 Alex Azirov caught up to me.
Ran across the fields. I took the left/high route but should have gone lower route. I took the first trail into the green. I didn't realize there were two trails. I can't see the trails through the dak green becuase the map is not up to code. They have the trail over the green so there is no white in the gaps of the trail line like there should be. Needless to say, this made reading the trails an eye exercise and not a navigation issue.
Followed trails. I thought the trail the control was on joined the mail trail further south but it didn't. I cut into the woods too soon so had to fight my way through the green. Peggy D. was with me at the control.
POOR cutting of circles and lines. They hid trail shapes. There is also a index contour which looks like a trail. Needless to say, I got lost in the trails. I tried relocation but wasn't really sure where I was. I finally realized where I was and started running to control 15, not control 10. I had to run back and relocate again to get things straight. Finally said just head NE to the streams to relocate but turned out I was on the trail I thought I was so went to the control. Lots of time lost.
NE, across the trail, across the stream to the trail along the field. I figured that would be easier to follow. That route was slower. I executed it ok but was slow. Lost time cutting off trail at the stream/reentrant and then had to run the side hill which was leaf slippery (especially with one running shoe).

I hit the other control first. I felt the two controls were to close together. You could see the other control.
Control said ditch but I can't see a ditch on the map. I assume it is there. I ran to the stream bend and had to look around.
I was following the trails and started going to #10 instead of number 15.
 trail out to the field.
