Note
(injured)

Took a spill on my bike 35 mins into the race on a corner with lot of loose & wet gravel and took myself out of rest of the racing season!!.

Lucky for me that I went down right infront of paramedics who drove me immediately to hospital & was operated by this really good & highly spoken doctor Dr. Harper assited by a med student. Spent half a day in the hospital (visit after about 20 years!!) & was very well looked after.

Am really grateful to the paramedics Muffy & Lindsay for immediate attention & driving me aroundl. Dr Harper & the med student for the attention in the hospital and Megan, Jack for a well organized event and keeping track of me and Paul, Erin for helping me around and Nick to drive me back home!

Hope Muffy wont post my wipe-out caught on video on you tube, although am curious to see how it all happened, it would be embarrassing!. :))

Although the crash might have taken me out of racing, it canèt take me out of enjoying them volunteering. Here is my extended chance to pay back my AR community!

First real OWS without wetsuit on - another milestone reached.!

Strength workout with my swim group & coach at Cherry beach with 1k non stop hard swim in the end. Its hard & easy without wetsuit on - hard because no bouncy & easy because no restriction around shoulders & arms!!!

Note
(rest day)

Legs felt lot better after the burning sensation the night before! Its amazing what a good night's sleep can do...

Left over pain was gone while watching canadian girls rock the field but felt sick when the final was robbed from them !!! Its not fair for athletes who work hard (probably understatement of the year) to suffer the consequences of mistakes by race officials & referees.

Soccer game yesterday was not the only such incident & I am very disappointed in London olympics for that reason!

Triathlon (Muskoka Grind - Off road) 3:04:00 [3] 28.5 km (6:27 / km)
ahr:155 max:178 slept:3.5

Muskoka Grind off road tri.

After interesting night yesterday drove to the race site at 3:30 am after stopping for a 30 min nap as I was feeling really sleepy and almost lost sensation in my legs!

Contemplated sleeping in the car as I was only gonna get 3 hr of sleep but I need to stretch my legs. So set up my tent & rain started pouring down like crazy!!! Before I knew I was asleep. Lucky that my alarm was already set to 6:30 am without which I probably wouldn't have got up in time for the race!

It was cloudy and a little cooler - just the way I like it. Got in a 10 min swim warmup but could feel my heavy legs. As always swim leg was awesome except for that fact that I had to fight couple guys & a woman going all over the place!

Knew the bike would be hilly but didn't expect it to be tricky with lots of wet rocks & roots. Was little nervous going in as I recently switched to slick tires in prep for next few races, they are fast but less traction especially when wet. Took the first lap easy but pushed the 2nd one a little although this was my c race & I was just supposed to train through it. Started the run well clocking about 5:45 for first 6k but struggled in the last 1.5 after a steep downhill where I really felt my legs freezing up!

Not happy for the fact that I couldn't get the short course in - late by about 4-5mins but happy that I got to do the beautiful course especially after the monstrous training day !
