Note

I have been given the all clear to start riding again... now it's just a matter of comfort... looking forward to getting back onto a bike soon though!

Run 30:00 [3]

Short run with Teeny in the chariot. It was getting mighty hot out there...

Run 1:00:00 [3]

Second run with M&M in Collingwood, her friend Corey came to share the pain as well. :) Back up the switchback and along the Bruce. Where my legs were tired but not sore before, this run made them sore. Nicer temperature for this run.

Run 1:15:00 [4]

Run with Mighty Mouse up 'the switchback' and on the Bruce trail in Collingwood after she had already run with Tiny for 3.5 hrs. Very good reminder that I have work to do - that's a big hill! My lungs are slowly getting back to running shape, but my legs are nowhere close to being back to hill running shape! It was a very tough run for me, good to have M&M to keep me going and push myself. Lots of walking up hills, but I'll keep working on leg strength and soon I won't hate hills quite as much... maybe. ;)

Run 35:00 [3]

Guessing at time here - I didn't wear a watch. Back at Tuesday night trails tonight. Man oh man was it hot and muggy! Good to be back out on the trails though. First time leaving Tiny home with the babe for more than an hour - everyone was still sane when I got home so I'd say it was a success. :)

Run 25:00 [3]

This run was a bit of a fail - the heat and humidity did me in. I also realized I was starving about 5 min out which made it very hard to focus on running... ah well... at least Aubrey enjoyed herself. :)

Run 40:00 [3]

Run with Aubrey in the chariot. Beautiful day outside - so glad I got out for the run this morning rather than being tempted back to sleepyland.

Run 35:00 [3]

Run with Aubrey in the chariot - much nicer temperature for running today and definitely felt like it made a difference in how I felt for this run.

Run 32:00 [3]

First trail run. :)
Tiny and I headed to Bechtel park - he had Aubrey in the Chariot to check out some spots for ARK this Tuesday, and I hit the trails for my first trail run. It was a good reminder of how much more difficult trail running is than road running on the muscles. :) The heat and humidity probably didn't help. There was some hill walking and a few walking breaks in this time, no idea what the distance was - still not paying attention to that yet, but I'm going to sit down and work out some distance targets for myself to make sure I'm on track for Run for the Toad in September.

Although supremely tiring and a humble reminder that I have a long way to go (not feeling unhappy about it, just a reminder that I have an big training curve ahead of me), I was really happy to be back out on trails. :)

Run 30:00 [3]

First time out with Teeny Tiny in the Chariot. I'm so glad they have an infant insert! Definitely a tougher run pushing the stroller, which hopefully will only make me stronger faster. :)

This wasn't all running - I checked in on the babe at regular intervals as a paranoid parent making sure her neck wasn't at some unnatural angle, and... oh yeah, taking little walk breaks because I'm out of shape! :)

Run 15:00 [3]

Well, I'm officially back to doing physical activity worth logging!

I went out for my very first run post baby. Yesterday was Aubrey's month-versery, so it seemed like a good time to get back to activity. Still some physical things to work out, but at least it's a start.

I am not logging the distance... best not to focus on that for now!
Step 1: get out for a run - CHECK!
Step 2: start getting out for longer and faster runs... not so check... yet!

:)
