So sweaty this morning. Walking up the three flights of stairs at my office was almost too much after that class. I was tempted to put my computer bag, lunch and various other things that most females seem to feel are needed in their 'purses' (read: cavernous bag of all things that might on some slim chance be needed by someone... somewhere... maybe) in the elevator for their own trip, but decided even that was not acceptable. Now sitting at my desk my hip flexors are making themselves known. Definitely still partially a holdover from the race on the weekend, but also a tough class this morning. I did 'reward' myself with a croissant though... null and void on the class, but oh so worth it! Now... coffee.

Note to self: Don't take such long breaks from running. Legs get very stiff after racing without much (read: almost no) running before said race. But... the fun kinda outweighed the tight muscles... so... forget note to self and just have fun. :)

Last minute decision to join Funderstorm for Chase the Coyote up at Mono Cliffs. What a fun race. Lovely course, spectacular weather and good company. The only thing to make it better? A really adorable patio (with beer!) and yummy food post race - check! The cherry on top was the cute little home goods shop - I might have bought something. :)

So glad Funderstorm suggested coming along. Such a great day!

really no idea how far or fast or for how long. I'm just guessing. This was in place of my cancelled spin this morning. Not quite the same intensity, but was extra nice to be outside on such a glorious day!!!

And of course today I went back to spin. My backside was less than pleased to be reacquainted with a bike seat again so soon, but it recovered after the initial shock.

Not as much power available today (big surprise), but all in all felt okay. A few twinges from my back, but feeling pretty good all-in-all.

What better way to loosen up from an insane ride than a ~2hr trail run?? Funderstorm and I took a nice easy tour to and around Chicopee. Legs felt better than expected (major muscles ok, smaller muscles less ok). Mostly it was my back and hamstring that were still bothering me. To be expected.

Had a really fun run. We managed to miss a major downpour which mysteriously hit my house by not 10 minutes away. Yahoo! We got just a pleasant sprinkling to help cut the heat. So nice.
