Ran with Funderstorm and we had a great run! Our nav was really on and it was a gorgeous day to be out tromping through the woods. I have one stellar bruise on my butt from a (less than) graceful fall on my tuckus, but otherwise, it was pretty smooth sailing. :) Hopefully our nav will be that good for RTH!

Early morning body pump with Funderstorm. I used heavier weights for my arms... holding a cup of coffee is proving to be a challenge. uh oh.

Agreed to meet Funderstorm for a 6am class... I was so worried I'd sleep through my alarm (a frighteningly frequent occurrence) that I ended up waking up at 4:30am. :)

Muscles are (sadly) still a bit sore from the Saturday session, so we'll see how much pain I'm in tomorrow. :)

Muscles a little sore going into the run with Funderstorm yesterday. Muscles REALLY sore after the run. Oh bodypump, how I missed you, and yet hate you at the same time. :)

Run with Funderstorm at the Hydrocut. First time starting from the pines lot - the weather was cool and a bit wet (i.e. not very motivating), but as it always seems, once out in it, it was actually a really nice day for a run. :) Good thing I had someone to meet so I couldn't wimp out. ;)

Run (Trail) 57:00 [3]

Nice morning run with Funderstorm along the Health Valley Trail in Waterloo. It's an interesting little trail, relatively un-used by the look of it, with some nice scenery through agricultural area, a little forest and along part of the Grand. Being out on a gorgeous fall morning is about as good as it gets for me. Colourful leaves, birds singing, dew.... I feel relaxed just typing it. :)

Run for the Toad 25 k race - 256/804 overall; 28/117 age category (F30-39)

The weather was looking less than ideal before the race started - verrry chilly, windy, and there was a hint of rain. Made a last minute decision to wear extra clothes which turned to be unnecessary because as the morning progressed the weather got nicer. Still chilly and windy, but the sun came out and it ended up being a rather pleasant day.

The run felt really good. Wasn't quite sure what to expect with having not put quite as many 2 hr runs as I had hoped I would and other factors, but as with so many things, the body can manage a fair bit on race day!

I'm happy with my time - it's a good start for my first 25 k race (also my first ever 25 k run - oops). Had a really good time seeing familiar faces at the race. The Toad is a very well run race - lots of volunteers, well marked, good food and a very nice finishing medal ;)
