Run 2:30:00 [3] 25.0 km (6:00 / km)

Tiny kicked me out of bed early this morning to get my run in (evil man). I headed to the hydrocut since I knew if I ran all the trails it should take me about 2.5 hours. I think the distsnce is closer to 26, but as I don't wear a garmin and am too lazy to look it up online, I'm sticking with 25km.

Started off really slow and was not feeling this run for the first 30 min. By the end of the first hour I was feeling more relaxed into a decent pace and enjoying the quiet. At 1.5 hrs I decided I should pick up the pace (no more lollygagging for the rest of the run).. Felt good. The last 20 minutes were a bit tough, but I passed a couple of runners stopped on the trail and could hear them behind me, so used them as motivation for the last part of my run.

Highlight of the run was the dead wild turkey on the trail. I was going to run on by it, but then realized that as it was just around a bend, riders would totally hit it, and no one wants that kind of a surprise, so I moved it off the trail... which is exactly when the rider saw me and asked "Is everything ok?" Me: "yup, just moving a dead turkey", which is an odd statement to make, and I'm hoping he didn't think was a code work for anything inthe bodily function department... really should have said I was just moving something off the trail...

Spinning 45:00 [4]

Missed the first track this morning, but certainly didn't feel as though I worked any less because of it. Felt a little wobbly when we were done - sign that I haven't done this in a while.

Run 58:00 [3]

Man oh man is it muggy. My lungs were protesting a bit, even at 7am. Ran 'hills' this morning as part of my compressed 'training' schedule for Run for the Toad (I use quotations on 'hills' since after being in Chamonix watching the CCC and UTMB'ers, I don't feel qualified to call things here 'hills').
