Your young men have had quite the remarkable season. Mine were certainly in the hunt, had many good chances. Came storming back in the 4th to tie, but couldn't hang on.

We'll see if the Engineers' fortune can continue, but it now gets a lot harder. Husson was the bottom team in the East, and most of the teams remaining are ranked in the top three in their respective divisions.

One interesting thing about thte news coverage that I heard was the statement that MIT's football program goes back to the 1880s. That's only sort of true. In 1901 there was an incident (not involving football) that resulted in the death of a student, and in the ensuing backlash, the president decided to ban football. It returned as a club sport in the late 1970s, and only became a varsity program again in 1988.
