Of course! Better than the Explorer. However, I want to try a diff seating arrangement than the kneeling pillow. Did you guys use that or get a wedge for the front and have the rear sit on the back of the boat?

So great, right?

When Brent and I have used it, he sits on the back of the boat and I sit on the beam. He finds it super comfortable, but for me the beam can be pretty, um, irritating. Bike shorts or a small pad (even a little towel) helps a lot!

We are going to look into this. There are videos online you can check out. They say to turn it sideways and use it like a bench seat. Plus way more room for packs etc.

ohhhh the gravity grip bench! have not seen that! great idea.

Erl likes sitting up on the back tube. i was ready for the front kneeling pillow to be horrible but it wasn't terrible. we wedged our packs in between our Erl's legs/my feet and that worked pretty good.

Interesting! So do you not use the beam at all, then? When we were in AK, our gear was so heavy that the only way to stabilize the boat was to fill the beam; we'd flip if we latched our packs to the front/rear of the raft.

yeah you would not use the beam at all. we tried this wknd with 2 uneven packs, one very full. one on each side of the beam. both of us had our right foot numb the whole time from the beam smashing it. you would use the gravity seat as a bench and then have a ton more space in the bottom of the boat.
