When I saw the first comment, I was about to write "bike-bike-bike sounds a lot like my experience at Untamed". A kind TA volunteer (and son) let us pedal on rather than wait for a van to take us forward on the course. In hindsight, the van probably had A/C...

I remember! Good on you guys, I probably would have accepted the van in that jungle weather. There were a lot of feelings at that "area" with teams well past their bike limits finding out their next leg was 50km more of the same.
