When did you get the Sentinel? How do you like it?

You were saying you are due for a new bike after seeing my 6-year memory photos :)

Nice catch:) Just got it on Friday. It would have been nice to have it this summer but Transition had supply chain issues. Vikki saw it and said her first thought was "what sort of giant person rides a bike like this". It is too long to sit on the NS rack properly... impressions so far are positive. I'm getting used to how I ride it as this is slackest bike I have ever owned (64 degrees). It rides OK at MacPherson which is nice though I bought it for more gravity focused riding. The newer long slack bikes have some downsides on rolling and flatter trails but it climbs less technical terrain in a super comfortable position and is very capable when pointed downhill. Both the fork and have low and high speed compression and rebound which means it will take a little work to dial in the suspension settings.

Wow, that *is* slack. I'll call ya Slacker from now on. Too long to fit on the rack! Wow! Yeah, I think Transition is known for long bikes, aren't they? (not as long as what 'Bent pointed out... I wonder what his bike would look like on your rack... maybe you need a sweet new van for hauling it.... I guess you have to throw it in the back of the truck now?)

I wouldn't say Transition is known for crazy slack bikes... but they are a gravity oriented bike company based on the west coast so they will be on the slacker end of the spectrum, They are not like Pole or some of the Chromag hardtails though. The 64 degree HTA and XXL wheelbase combine to make it long. It still fits on the NS rack but the tire is sitting on the lower bar rather than the upper one that it should hit. Of course it also sits closer to the ground as well.
