I am assuming your are coming in from Mt Rumney driectionand that you then take Cambridge Road into Rosny Shops from the Mornington roundabout? This is the most direct route without riding on the highway all the way. Other options include going up Flagsaff Gully to Beginia Street and back through Lindisfarne or maybe coming through HOwrah and Waverley Park to Warrane and then QUarry Road/Binaling Streetor Bligh Street to Rosny. But tehn again you proably know all that.

haha I was a bit confused by the time I finished reading that. Yeh I come from Mt Rumney through Mornington and down to Eastlands... have tried coming from the Howrah side but it isn't much better, especially further towards my place on Rokeby Road (no shoulder, barely 2.7m lanes and bogans...). I guess the real annoying part is getting through the Rosny College/Eastlands area... cause the choice is either highway, busy narrow road with lots of traffic lights or shitty run down walking path that has big holes and ditches in it everywhere.... know of any quiet smooth uninterrupted roads leading straight to the bridge?

Bligh St throught Warrane is wide, well paved and gets very little traffic. If you can put up with the 3 sets of lights through the bus mall at Eastlands and cut through Rosny Hill, Riaweena Rd - it's the way I always went.

Actually I just sucked it up and went along the highway most of the time, but always throught if you ride along there enough, one day you're gonna get hit.
