Discussion: The GLOF, Niagara Falls & US Champs Week!

Golden Horseshoe Orienteering (GHO) is hosting their 4 race GLOF weekend over a three day period (Oct 9-11) in Hamilton, Ontario the weekend before the US Classic Champs in the Albany, NY area (about a 6 hour drive between cities).
Both the Buffalo and Rochester clubs have kindly (and tentatively) added events on October 12th and 13th, respectively so it is shaping up as a good week to skip school or work. ;-) Hey CNYO, how about an event on the 14th in the Syracuse area!
The Buffalo event (assuming NY State budget cutbacks don't affect it) would be hosted on Goat Island in Niagara Falls! Yup a sprint race in between the American and Horseshoe Falls!
Registration for GLOF will open later this month. All 4 events start and finish at the same location in the Dundas Valley and are 50m from cabin lodging. Yup, so drive to Hamilton and then relax knowing you don't have to use your car the rest of the weekend. Just eat, sleep and O. (meal plans will also be available).

Sprint Orienteering on Goat Island, Niagara Falls? That will be great! That's one map I wouldn't want to run off.
