Do you run your test loop like a race or a workout?

I usually make it like a race. That's one reason I like having a fairly short test loop. If it was longer, say 30 minutes, a race effort would leave me worn for a few days. 15 minutes is enough to be a good measure of my running, but doesn't leave my legs hurting for days.

About 5-6 years ago I had a test loop that I ran regularly. I just looked up my old times and I ran it 16 times, all but 2 look like race-efforts.

For someone like me (who doesn't really do, or enjoy, pure running races), a test loop feels like a good way to get in some hard efforts.

I plan to run the Bonner Park test once a month through next April/May.

Any interest in running it the day after PTX? I'd like to give it a go myself.

You're welcome to run the test the day after the Trot. I'm not sure I'd be up for it, but you never know.

The test loop is always available. Just let me know and I'll get you a copy of the map.
