Hey, I was brave enough to share my mistakes. Where is your map? ;)

Great job by you and DD11 yesterday - nice to see big smiles at the finish line.

P.S. Wow, you guys were running fast at the end!

taaadaaaa, looks like we lost close to 1/2 hr around 149!

Oh NO! You weren't the only team who had issues there. Thanks - it's always fun to see what other people did. I'm also using other people's Garmin tracks to check my time estimates for parts of the course that we didn't end up doing. It's an interesting way to learn.

Did you get #178? It's hard to see that section. If so, you were super fast around there!

no we didn't, I'll write more after I go get some revenge with 149...I won't sleep tonight if I don't go back. Not just for Chris and I but the others.

Use the force of the contours, Luke! :)

"brave enough to share my mistakes." I wish I only made the kind of mistakes you do Bash! ;)

Map will be posted shortly...not for the faint of heart around CP149. To say I had a bit of a brain malfunction would be an understatement. I shoulda pulled the plug the first time we got up to the trail but decided to attack it again (and that's when the trouble really began). We actually passed you and Dee while we were descending for our 2nd attempt and I am guessing you had just nailed CP149 yourselves (which should have triggered something for me as well).

We did actually hit CP178 and flew back up the escarpment towards CP201 and CP208. We knew time would be tight but our goal was to at least keep some of the 120 pts we went out for even if it meant coming in a little late. 80 pts is tough to swallow but I guess we still gained 40 pts.

just went and found #149, it *was* tricky... in a small little valley. Looking back to yesterday we basically should have moved no more then 50 m further from where we were playing around! I feel like the forest does change in real life but it's not represented on the map.

In the end, I made sure to celebrate for us when I got to 149!

Hmmm..do you remember that spot we ended up at twice? To the right (south) there was two small creeks intersecting and one time we went to east and other to the northeast. Was it close to there? That's when we originally separated from the group. Thanks for the celebrating!! I'd go back and pee on that spot if I could find it! Hehe..

DUH. I just now realized that the map you posted had our route on it! ;)

It almost looks like we tripped over it but we didn't nearly go down far enough the second attempt.

"our EPIC view of Georgian Bay" :-D ... such a positive view of a painful section :-D

Awesome race Hermes! You and DD11 had an awesome run of things, a solid finish! (and without that blip you would have finished quite high up!). Congrats!

I'm sure there were some fbombs in there too!
