Sean was probably liking it more than SME, thanks to better snow than we had the first few days of our trip - I think he was questioning all of the work to get to wind-hammered ridges and summits. He probably prefers to follow you rather than Ruedi.
With Rich, as long as you keep the climbing pace high (and lots of climbing), he's probably happy.

WIth RIch as long as the uptracks never end he is happy. He was complaining that his skis were too fast after Valhalla waxed them for him.

We had a good talk about SME. At the very least it was great for lots of stories! Supposedly Ruedi told those guys that we (you, me and VJ) were the fastest group they have had which just goes to show I think that his regular clientele is probably weekend warriors.

Ha! Was Rich complaining that the skis were too fast on the downhill, or the uptrack? I sometimes find that a fast, freshly waxed ski can surprise me on the way down. Or was he complaining about the reduced effort on the climbs?

I too am surprised to hear that we (decently fast but we weren't pushing something unbelievable) were the fastest group. That sure doesn't fit the rumours we've heard. I would have thought his top group would be well over 2500 m per day. Then again, if we could have skied past 2:30 pm.... ;) Too bad there wasn't just an extra waiver we could sign for that, if we promised to stick to areas we'd already skied and previously-established uptracks (i.e. ski Holy Grail, etc. again). Oh... and radio in, and repeat zee message :)

Is Rich on the Hilda Hut trip?

Too fast on the down. The snow conditions were fast though so that didn't help. Rich is not on the HIlda trip - he committed to a trip to Sol with Brook the same week. He was hoping to swtich as he is the only one on that trip that isn't bringing a child... doesn't look like it will happen.

That surprises me too. The reputation Ruedi has for pushing so hard and fast didn't really show that much. I actually enjoyed the trip. I would have skied a bit longer each day if they had let us, but most of it was pretty good. Angrybert was really good too.

What, Rich isn't bringing a box of his babies?
