Navigation Session
3 PM

Paddling 2:00:00 [1] 9.0 mi (4.5 mph)

Paddle down the Middle Yough with Ashley. At a pretty relaxed pace to give the students a chance to learn. Water level was at 3 ft (about 2 ft higher than normal). I always prefer running this at the higher level.
7 PM

Mountain Biking 1:13:32 [2] 10.73 mi (8.8 mph) +1428ft
shoes: Shimano M161G

Short ride before it got too dark. Came down Sugar Run slow as it was getting dark. Kept the lights off though.
11 PM

Trail Running 1:27:09 [2] 7.26 mi (12:00 / mi) +1230ft 10:21 / mi
shoes: Scott eRide Grip3

GREAT full moon night run with KE. Conditions were much better tonight, dry and clear. Temp was great as well. We had a great run up to the Kentuck Knob Overlook and back. Didn't need lights except for a few times to verify we were on the trail.

Trail Running 1:15:03 [2] 6.8 mi (11:02 / mi) +1029ft 9:39 / mi

Full moon night run. It was a bit cloudy so a little less light and foggy so the flashlight was a bit harder to use. I tried to go sans light as much as possible but needed a few times. The trail was real wet so there was little room for error on the slick rocks and roots. The trails on the top were open grassy (swampy) XC trails which were easier with the moonlight.

Commuting 36:17 [2] 10.78 mi (17.8 mph) +737ft
shoes: Answer Impact MTB

Ride home. Heavy wind from the SW. Forgot clothes again so just wore running shorts and a tshirt.

Trail Running 34:02 [3] 2.64 mi (12:53 / mi) +717ft 10:15 / mi
shoes: Scott eRide Grip3

Another evening run with Zitch on the mountain. Started off trail this time. Slow going. Started higher on the hillside but think I ended up on the lower deer trail.

Wore a Salomon XT Twin. Definitely has more room but it maybe too much. The belt worked pretty well and didn't spin. Could feel the extra weight and more bouncing from being vertical. It is definitely one of the better belts though.

Commuting 14:48 [2] 3.94 mi (16.0 mph) +236ft

Ride to Class

Commuting 13:51 [2] 3.95 mi (17.1 mph) +317ft

Ride from class. Sun came out.

Found out when I got to class that it was cancelled again. Email came as I was getting my bike ready. Meant to check it when it came in but forgot. Oh well. Got in a lunch ride. I pretty much ended up racing the CRC bus to campus and back. It got a head start and it only beat me by 10 sec.
5 PM

Commuting 37:26 [2] 10.76 mi (17.2 mph) +759ft
shoes: Answer Impact MTB

Ride home. A little cold and windy but not too bad. No bag, felt fast.
6 PM

Trail Running 32:13 [3] 2.21 mi (14:35 / mi) +914ft 10:28 / mi
shoes: Scott Kinabalu

Bonus evening run with Z. Wanted to test out a hydration belt that came in the mail (Gregory Tempo H1). I was excited about the horizontal bottle design. Only belt I could find like this. Worked great but not sure there is enough storage room for what I'd want. Have two more to try out.

Ran down the SE side of the mountain on some ATV trails. Super steep trying to come back up. Spent the last 1/2 off trail. Got back to the house a new way using some deer trails.
