Mountain Biking 1:31:09 [2] 9.21 mi (6.1 mph) +1474ft
shoes: Pearl Izumi X Alp Enduro III

Ride with Zitch at Pandapas. A slow ride. Had a bit of bushwhack on my new northern gap trail. The road and trail were rideable but the woods and deer trails were only rideable when going downhill. I think I also was a bit off track. I don't think I'll be taking my bike again until I clear it a bit at least.

The rest of Gap was rockier than I remember. Rode over to Snake and found what I think was Homynym. It climbed much more than I expected. Hit Hairball almost at the top. It was a difficult climb at times but I think once it is worn in it will be rideable.

Kelly's Knob and Keffer Oak with Zitch, Jordan and Kenya.
Postponed Chad run from last weekend. My first time to both KK and KO. Jordan was our tour guide. Nice weather, nice trail, and nice company. Lots of water stops.

Commuting 42:39 [2] 12.25 mi (17.2 mph) +937ft
shoes: Giro Rumble

Commute Home.
First one in quite a while. Stopped by the library on the way. The driveway was in bad shape but still made it up.

Trail Running 22:27 [3] 2.17 mi (10:21 / mi) +706ft 7:55 / mi
shoes: Scott Kinabalu

Zitch and I ran to the bottom of Homeplace and then all the way to the top. Had been wanting to do this for a while but requires a leash for Z. Steady pace just to get a benchmark. Mile marker ended up being right on the peak.

Was mostly curious to see how the grade came out. Interesting because AP has the bottom at 1968 but map shows 1900. 13% for .75 miles according to AP. 15% going by topo map and Strava.

Trail Running 40:01 [2] 3.91 mi (10:14 / mi) +989ft 8:15 / mi
shoes: Scott Kinabalu

Run on Homeplace with Zitch. Nice running with a little more support in the Kinabalus. Took a few short off trail sections. Stopped for a swim at PC. A neighbor is clearing the road from the top of the mountain to our house. Looking much better.

Orienteering 1:02:16 [2] 4.25 mi (14:39 / mi) +755ft 12:32 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3 (Blue #2)

Explored the are north of Trillium for adding a trail. I was able to exactly replicate the route I took last week without a problem which is a good sign for building the trail.

First .6 miles is doubletrack that just needs to be cleared in a few spots with a chainsaw. Clear woods and deer trails get you over the next spur. There is another deer trail halfway up the following spur. A little overgrown on the last spur but there is a deer trail again.

I spent the rest of the time exploring where to end the trail. Dropping to the top of Trillium would be easy. I think I could also take it down the last spur into the drainage and down to Skullcap. But everything beyond that gets too rocky to deal with.
