Mountain Biking 2:02:34 intensity: (49:57 @1) + (51:37 @2) + (21:00 @3) 19.82 mi (9.7 mph) +3106ft

Was thinking of doing this ride yesterday but my legs were sore from Friday's run without stretching and long drive home (bad choice). They were a bit sore when I woke up today but loosened up. I was also careful of my neck. Tried to keep my arm/shoulder relaxed and straight as much as possible. Definitely helped. Lastly, I was a bit cautious on the descents. No need to risk even a small crash.

I felt good. Didn't feel like I was pushing at the start but it was fast. Then was super strong on Beast. Again didn't go crazy but strong except for a little at the top. And set a 10-year PR by over 40". Had another PR up Homonym and then later on Turtle.

Gap wasn't super fast. Same as last week. Felt strong on PP but had some unusual trouble on Skullcap. Still think I am in a good spot even technically. Just got unlucky on some lines.

PHT.

Had planned to start at Rosslyn but had to drive coworkers back to Ballston. Had also planned to run the PHT to Chain Bridge but it was flooded so I ran as far as I could then ran around Roosevelt Island instead. This wasn't bad as the distance was the same and I haven't ran on this for a while.

Still lots of flooding on the trail that I did run, but manageable.

Felt a little tired. Not breathing strongly. Could feel the bruise on my ribs as well.

Saw Quinn while running on the plantation. Had to make a pitstop on the plantation too. Barely made it through the plantation loop before stopping.

Little longer ride in. Light pack. TW

Legs were tired but the TW helped me get started.

Made some stops and filled my backpack up before getting to my office.

Road run out to Hethwood. Was thinking this might be a little faster. Was initially slowed by the HW on the way out but then legs started feeling tired and I was close to bonking in the last 2 miles.

Still valuable training though. Leg felt fine.
