BEAST @ Whidbey (w/ enilaf: 1st stage (Putney Woods): started w/ 3 loops of MTB @ ~8:30pm. The MTB went pretty well. Matt forgot the map board for me, so it was a little slow in spots orienting the map at night. A few spots of the trail were pretty tough on bike (axel deep mud and nasty roots). I have never been to Putney before, so it was cool to see some new terrain. I think I will go back there sometime to ride when the conditions are a bit better. Finished up with two loops of running. I think this was perhaps the best part of our race. We are both strong runners and it was fun to catch and pass Manny's.

Ride into work w/ Jerry. I think we made all the lights, so it was pretty quick even for the easy pace.

Easy ride home w/ Jerry. He had another flat. Nice easy pace home.

Ride home w/ Jerry. He got a flat, but we were moving pretty good the rest of the way. It was finally a nice afternoon for the commute.

Ride home w/ Jerry. Good ride. I hammered the last hill up 8th and caught the cars at the next light 20 blocks up the hill. Good stuff.
