Middle The woods were much more open than I expected and they were super easy to navigate and run through other than the hill aspect. Came in 3rd which makes me very happy, behind Evalin and Izzy. I made one mistake going to 10 and got pulled by the contours past the control to the right. I figured it out fairly quickly and then had to run back up to it a bit. I also had to walk a fair amount especially uphill because my hip was hurtin...again, I didn't feel it too bad afterwards. Happy with my course I felt in control the whole time and made decisions quickly. Good confidence boost.
Today we went to Pirin National Park and hiked up and up and up. There was lots of up and then down. The weather could have been a bit less rainy but other than that it was lots of fun. :)
Jogged to a map nearby and did a couple controls, then jogged back. Woke up and my hip was hurtin' probably because of the fun track stuff we did yesterday. It hurt mostly while walking around. Once I started moving it felt better.... I need to get more Advil.
Workout on the track(ish) 2x200, 800, 2x400, 2x200 35,37 2:49(painful to say) 85,85 37,35 Not a particularly fun workout... The last time I really ran hard was early June so it's been a while. My times make me feel like crud but whatever. Hip didn't really hurt once I warmed up.
Back on the long map. Did the side I didn't get to last time which is a lot flatter and has less to work off of. It went pretty well, especially compared to the last time we were on this map, so I'm feeling good about it.
