Warmup and down (proper warmdown this time) for the Orienteering

Orienteering 1:24:57 [4] 11.1 km (7:39 / km) +150m 7:10 / km

Regional O. Felt amazingly good for the first two thirds considering the effort yesterday, then faded a bit towards the end. 3rd place, one stupid 6 min mistake cost me the win. Encouraging overall, though, and even the forest was fairly enjoyable.

Long-O in the Ardennes hills with Abi. We decided to enter the men's rather than the mixed category but won anyway. Sweet. Good fun but unfortunately too easy from an O standpoint.

The morning run. Felt good today for a change, also felt fast but turned out 10sec slower than best time. Could be because we never quite run exactly the same course depending on traffic. Still, a good effort.

oh what has the world come to that all I can do for training is strength at 9pm? I do feel a lot *stronger* than a year ago though, so it does seem to work. Now, does it help me run faster as well?
