In the Austrian Alps for a holiday, so had to do the usual run up from the hotel (720m asl) to the Gaudeamus Hut (1,263m). It’s basically straight up at varying gradients, mostly OK to run but some bits are just too steep unless you’re Kilian Jornet (well, a fitter me did run it once). So I walked maybe 5 minutes of this in total, but don’t think it’s much slower compared to tippy-toe running.
Great view from the top as always, but hotter than I would have liked (27c in early April wtf), but very proud that I made it.
Was about 4 mins slower than 4 years ago (so 10%), but I’ll take it.

And back down. Not great for the knees but I tried to run through properly rather than brake with each step.
